You have 30 days to do register your car.

your out of state title
payment for fees

Drivers License

Texas law requires you to obtain a Texas driver's license within 30 days of establishing residency.

you must:

be 18 or 16 and completed a certified driver's ed program
pass a vision test
pass written exam
pass driving skills test(if your old license is expired)

you need:

valid out of state driver's license
or certified copy of your birth certificate
and your new license plates
and Proof of insurance
